ADIDAS COLLABORATIONS
Here are my two of my favourite Adidas men's collaborations, Opening Ceremony and Jeremy Scott. I guess I can try and describe it in three words - playful, tragic and genius. Some of the Jeremy Scott's are totally unacceptable, yet still incredible. I'd definitely wear the pink poodle hi-tops!

LIFE AS A FASHION WRITER
It's safe to say I'm actually quite enjoying being a fashion writer, considering as long as it has been an aspiration of mine I'm actually doing it now. As of next week my commitments will be a lot more intense and time consuming as my studies have come to an end now so now I have to devote as much time as I can into both publications.
I'm going to try and update my own personal blog as much as possible although I'll probably be posting a lot less frequently. However keep up to date with the IDOL blog and the online features on BBG, a lot of my writing will be there as well.

CHEAP MONDAY GO BANANAS FOR SS13
The new FLASH collection by Swedish brand Cheap Monday has landed to help everyone go a little "bananas!". I've picked out a few of the men's designs that I liked the most, some of which have definitely made it onto my spring/summer wishlist.
The collection is inspired by pop art - can't beat a bit of Andy Warhol. A retro colour palette works nicely with eccentric prints and soft elements of simplicity.
A fun and exciting range of designs that scream summer - perfect for this season. Check out the whole collection here.

AMERICAN APPAREL SPRING LOOKS
I absolutely love American Apparel this season! The brand has always been a favourite of mine, however for Spring 13 they haven't failed to exceed expectations. The pastel colours work will with clean cuts, sharp elements of simplicity and the vintage American feel of the designs.
The brand screams Californian summer. It's fun - traditional and classic with a modern and unique edge. It's invigorating to say the least. It feels as though for this season they have experimented a lot more - despite being known for quite a playful brand, there is just something so much more exciting this time around.

JIL SANDER HAND-MADE MEN'S COLLECTION
Here is my latest post for the IDOL Magazine blog. I've featured Jil Sander's hand-made men's collection which is probably one of my favourite collections yet from the iconic fashion house.
The colours that work together, the sharp cuts, the attention to detail and the structure. It's a perfect menswear collection in my eyes.
Take a look at the post here or check out the whole collection here.

NICOLA FORMICHETTI SAYS FAREWELL TO MUGLER
I've been on a short hiatus during the Easter holidays which has been amazing, I'm feeling very well rested. However I've been keeping up to date on everything and as I'm sure everyone has already heard, Italian designer Nicola Formichetti has left fashion house Mugler for Diesel!
I'm quite confused because there has been a slight dispute between Formichetti actually being forced to leave or making the decision himself. I've read different things in different place. Although despite that, I think this could be a really good move for Formichetti!
His artistic knowledge is something definitely worth inflicting upon Diesels, let's face it, pretty basic sense of style. This could really be a very interesting addition to the label. I guess we shall see! So yes, here is me breaking the news that really isn't news anymore.
